A 2400 watt system provided by Solar Cell Sales and owner installed in Monterey County. This customer had a budget they did not want to exceed, and an electrical requirement that exceeded the Baseline amount set by P.G. & E. Since this installation is in a rural area, the customer wanted to have at least some battery back-up with the possibility of expanding the system at a later date. Solar Cell Sales worked with this customer to get the most aggressive price possible and keep them below the Baseline usage set by P.G. & E.

The calculations gave us a 2400 watt system, using the Power Module and SW5548 and the BP 2150 solar modules, along with a battery back up, which has worked extremely well for this customer's requirement.

Solar Modules

BP2150 solar modules set on 6" poles w/ the Unirac Pole Top Mount UPT-64XL. The customer decided on a Pole Top mount to take advantage of a due south exposure.

Inverters, Charge Controlers & GTIs

Power Module containing the SW5548 dual Inverters with the dual Grid Tie Interface at the bottom of the three tier Power Module set up. The customer chose to install this way to facilitate the programming of the Inverters and to enable him to read the display on each inverter. The Power module was set on a concrete pad approximately 30 feet away from the solar modules which facilitated an easy connection to both the BP2150's and the meter main.

Batteries

This customer chose to purchase a large "Rubbermaid" enclosure to house his battery bank. He has a minimum of 4 x Concorde PVX12 210/ 210 AH Deep Cycle Batteries for a sub panel load requirement. The enclosure still has optional room so the customer can expand his battery system when he changes out the existing batteries for new ones.

This system is an extremely clean and well functioning solar energy installation.
